A Little About Me

I’m Will Jackson in Clemson, SC. I’m married to Kimberly and we have two children, Miles and Emma. I serve as the Equipping Pastor at Crosspoint Church in Clemson, SC where I also host a podcast called the Ninety-Eight podcast. I have a background in Industrial Engineering (B.S. Clemson University 2011) and apply much of this in my day-to-day, but have spent the better part of the last decade in various forms of theological training through Southeastern Seminary (M.Div. in Christian Ministry, 2015 and Ph.D. in Theological Studies, 2022). I also began serving Southeastern as an Adjunct Professor of Theology and Bible Exposition in 2018.

Why Daybreak?

Though it may disappoint some, the name Daybreak has little story behind it. However, it so perfectly fits the theme I see running throughout the Scriptures and informing the Christian life. We exist in the in-between of two significant events—the resurrection and the return (Second Coming) of Christ. Each moment, in their own way, is a daybreak type of event. Darkness gives way to light as the Son pierces through, changing everything. At the resurrection, death and sin are defeated as the stone was rolled away and Jesus solidified his place above and against the devil and his legions. Then when Jesus returns, as Daniel 7 poetically frames for us, he will come back riding on a cloud to usher in a new reality—a final iteration of his never-ending kingship.

As Christians, we are people marked by one Daybreak that has already occurred and another that is sure to follow. For me, this is enough to keep going.

Happy reading,

Will
